I am a Vancouver based artist and teacher. I work in diverse mediums including oil, acrylic, charcoal and ink as well as digital format. I find the natural world and the human experience to be my greatest sources of inspiration. I never tire of exploring various aspects of these themes in all areas of life, but especially my artistic life. My painting style is greatly influenced by the impressionists. My drawing style is a spontaneous response to my surroundings and experiences and I try my best to capture the place or the people as I see them. While I am mostly self taught, I have sought out and studied under various artistic mentors for whom I am very grateful. I am a passionate advocate for mental health, education and the climate. When I am not painting or teaching art, I can be found running in the woods with my dog or on an adventure with my kids. I live in Vancouver and Princeton with my husband and four children.

On March 3rd, 2018 I gave a TED talk at TEDx Stanley Park at the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver, Canada, titled 'Parenting Through Postpartum Depression. It has become a mission of mine to raise awareness on the issue of maternal mental illnesses like postpartum depression and anxiety and to end the isolation felt by so many women in the vulnerable stage of pregnancy and new motherhood. This talk has over 70,000 views. Watch my talk above and I look forward to responding to your comments on YouTube! Thanks for watching!
